Catering Team Leader

The post holder will provide food preparation and catering services for the staff canteen. The general cleanliness and upkeep of the Company’s facilities also form part of the role. The post holder must ensure full compliance with GMP and general hygiene requirements at all times.

**Working hours**: Monday to Friday 37.5 variable hours

**Following training, the key duties of the post are as follows;**
- Responsible for food ordering and stock control including wastage avoidance
- Responsible for direct cash control and the provision of information for finance departments accounting requirements
- Responsible for direct supervision of the canteen assistant for the allocation of duties and associated workload
- Responsible for food preparation and service within the catering facility
- Responsible for stocking and basic operation of Canteen based vending facilities
- Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the canteen kitchen facility.This includes but is not limited to: emptying bins, cleaning down work surfaces, food preparation area, equipment, fixtures and fittings, general maintenance of the internal environment
- Ensure that Laleham facilities remain safe and secure environments for employees and visitors
- Ensure all cooking and cleaning equipment and materials are handled and stored safely and correctly
- Responsible for reporting any apparent malfunction or misuse of equipment (especially that relating to Food preparation in the area of work)
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment; ensure all operations are performed in a safe way to ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work
- Ensure that safe working instructions (SWIs) are followed at all times, and that work areas are kept clear of hazards
- Be available for weekend and out of hours work if and when the business dictates

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00 per year
