**Position Summary**:
The Accounting Assistant will provide critical daily support for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions in the UK. The opening is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to have experience in multiple areas of a Finance department.

**Purpose of Role**:

- Serve as primary position for AP entry and coding.
- Customer invoice delivery and initial invoice collection communications.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to complete daily processes as directed by Global AR Manager.
- Perform daily tasks to ensure continued positive relations between suppliers and customers while aiding in cash control expectations.
- Research items of concern for the UK facility to expedite transactional modifications or corrections as needed.
- Assist in information gathering and communication for annual internal and external audit functions.

**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Build trusted relationships with Global Finance Team members and other departments to facilitate research of accounting issues.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording of accounting data.
- Analyse & resolve deviations from expectations as requested by Global Finance team.
- Assist in reconciliation of accounts and research differences to subledgers as requested.
- Verify approved processes followed to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting transactions.
- Assist Global Finance Group with month end closing duties as needed.
- Assist in audit related inquiries from Halma peer reviewers and third-party auditors.
- Ad hoc duties as required.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and internal staff.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge (V Lookups, pivot tables, formatting of data).

- Creating reports from raw excel data (class experience acceptable).
- Exposure to a larger ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, etc.) considered a bonus.
