Tug Deck Hand

A&P Falmouth are looking to recruit a motivated and hardworking individual for the position of Tug/ Workboat Deck hand based at Falmouth Docks and operating mainly within the Falmouth Pilotage Area. Working as part of a team offering coverage 24/7 as required, this position will support the marine and port operations of Falmouth also undertaking Coastal tow’s.

**Key Responsibility**:

- To act as Deck crew on all three Harbour tugs which will include deck work, rope handling
- Undertake and assist the Duty Skipper with routine maintenance tasks both onboard the tugs and workboats

**Other Duties include (but not limited to)**:

- Mooring and Unmooring of arriving vessels within the Port
- Conducting workboat duties / crew changes within Falmouth Bay and further
- Training in Counter Pollution

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- All STCW short courses including all recent amendments
- Valid ENG1/ML5 medical

**Desirable Skills**:

- Experience of harbour/ at Sea Towage preferred although full training will be given
- Experience with crew and or stores transfer although full training will be given

Flexibility and commitment to working hours that meet customer and operational requirements is essential (24/7 coverage);
Previous experience of harbour and/or coastal sea Towage is preferable;
