Material Planner

Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company based in Norfolk. We are working closely with our prestigious client who have multiple manufacturing sites across Norwich and are looking for an experienced MaterialPlanner to join their team
**Supply Chain & Purchasing**
**Role Description**
To provide continuity of supply to the Production line, ensuring 100% parts availability to the published plan effectively and efficiently within agreed inventory constraints.
**Role Objectives**
Schedule supply of components and materials to meet production requirements.
Assess volume requirements against future published production plans and report concerns.
Monitor and react to MRP Messages as appropriate.
Liaise with Suppliers to expedite deliveries to meet production requirements.
Take appropriate action to minimise shortages, follow up with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Inventory checks and report inaccuracies to the Perpetual Inventory Department.
Support Accounts Payable with resolution of invoice queries relating to deliveries.
Be prepared to co-ordinate and lead cross-departmental actions to support the above objectives.
**Key Stakeholders**:
External: should be able to develop strong relationships with suppliers
Internal: cross departmental role, should be comfortable working with Production, Internal Logistics, Accounts and Finance, Quality and Engineering.
**Knowledge**
**Essential**
Diploma or equivalent, preferably with CIPS qualification.
PC Literate with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel experience.
**Desirable**
Operational Management level 3
