A fantastic Full time opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to work in an EYFS unit within a lovely village primary school in Kendal starting in May 2023 till at least July 2023.

Duties include:

- Working as a general assistant to the EYFS Teacher
- Supporting Numeracy and Literacy
- Phonics sessions
- Assisting with lower ability groups

This position is a full time role 9am until 3.15pm Monday to Friday

**As a Teaching Assistant working, your duties may include**:

- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
- Lead small group or individual instruction as assigned by the teacher.
- Provide additional support to students who need extra help.
- Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and other areas.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with record keeping and other administrative tasks.
- Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
- Assist with setting up and tidying up the classroom each day.
- Supervise students on field trips and other school-sponsored activities.
- Provide individual attention to students who need extra help

**The requirements for this role are**:

- GCSE English & Maths
- Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
- Possess strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
