Job Summary:
**The post is focused on PM working between 2pm and 6pm daily. (**You may be asked to work other hours between 8am - 6pm dependent upon the needs of the service**).**

We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will contribute to the overall efficiency of our practice.

You must have a good understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection for the role of medical receptionist.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations

**Skills**:

- Administrative skills: Ability to handle various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining patient records.
- Office skills: Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, and scanners. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
