This is an exciting time to be joining our Adult Psychology and Psychological Therapy Service in Powys. With new service developments and treatment pathways being created, this role offers opportunities to play a key role in shaping psychological services in Powys.

We are looking for a kind, caring, compassionate and motivated psychologist who can bring their creative enthusiasm to our service, and we would welcome any informal enquiries if you would like to find out more about the role.
- Provide specialist psychological services for adults of working age with psychological and/or mental health difficulties.
- Work as a link psychologist to one of the Community Mental Health Teams in south Powys: attending Multidisciplinary Team Meetings, providing consultation, team formulation, specialist supervision and advise; offering psychological assessments and formulations; and liaising with the CMHT regarding referrals to the Adult Psychology and Psychological Therapy Service.
- Provide clinical supervision on placement for Clinical/Counselling Psychologists in training, Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology, Assistant Psychologists, Psychology undergraduate students and to mental health practitioners, as appropriate.
- Utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research within the area served.

- Undertake a one-year training programme to obtain the relevant competencies and experience to meet the Senior Clinical Psychologist and all duties as indicated within this job description.

The Psychology and Psychological Therapy Service is highly regarded within the Mental Health and Learning Disability Directorate. As a service, we pride ourselves on delivering person-centred and evidence-based psychological input in line with local and national legislation, policy and guidelines.

The service is committed to investing in the personal and professional development of staff through a bespoke programme of CPD, supervision and mentoring. We are also very keen to support clinicians in their clinical interests and there are opportunities to join a number of specialist clinical workstreams and steering groups, such as: Perinatal Mental Health; Complex Trauma; All Age Eating Disorder; Traumatic Stress; and Early Intervention In Psychosis.
