This role will be very varied, thinking outside the box and getting hands on for all parts of the employee lifecycle. From attracting and retaining talent, advising on employment law and coaching our managers on how best to support their teams, this role is for you

There are many projects to be evolved in developing, supporting and leading to support in your own career progression, from employee engagement to new system building and implementation across the business

**Main Responsibilities**
- Support managers with all matters relating to employee lifecycle, providing specialist employee relations advice in the management of both informal and formal processes and attend meetings/hearing as and when required.
- Where appropriate lead on investigations, hearings, drive case resolution.
- Respond, as a first line advisor, to HR related queries raised by employees and managers across the business.
- Support Recruitment, Onboarding and Learning & Development activity, including supporting and preparation of induction activities/days.
- Work with managers to address issues such as absence levels and support to effectively manage this through the use of management information and Occupational Health provisions.
- Monitor and support probation reviews.
- Assisting with HR reports and reporting/ad hoc requests for the wider business function.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new projects.

**Experience**:

- At least 2 years' proven experience in a HR Advisory or ER position.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role and HR function
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.

**Personal Skills & Qualities**:

- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Ability to work well using own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise, adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently.

**This role is based on-site at Swadlincote, with a requirement to travel to our secondary site at Featherstone twice per month.**

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CIPD Level 5 (required)
