Residential Team Leader

**Team Leader**
**Full Time Position in the Whitwood area**
**Residential Services, Castleford**
**Hourly rate £12.00**
Working as part of the management team your role will be to support the management team in running a shift. Ensuring the teams that you are working alongside each day has guidance and support throughout the day.
**The following with be expected that you would undertake during your shift**:
- Be able to support staff and guide them where applicable
- Undertake supervisions with staff, including medication competencies, staff observations
- Ensure all support plans, risk assessments are being followed
- Ensure support plans are being reviewed and updated
- Attend team leader meetings and staff meetings
- Attend medical appointments with the PWS
- Ensure policy and procedures are being followed and adhered to
- Ensure all medication is being administered and undertake medication audits
- Ensure all monies are being correctly signed in and out
- Ensure that all staff are aware of infection control and to follow the correct policies around this
- Ensure that the PWS are having their needs met and give them a high quality of life
- Ensure that PWS meetings are held and any points actioned
- Attend any reviews for PWS
- Attend all training that you are allocated
- Ensure all daily notes, support plan are accurately documented by the end of the shift
- Ensure incident and debriefs are being completed
- Ensure all new staff are receiving the correct support and have had induction to service
- Ensure all equipment that is being used is fit to use, this includes any communication aid, bath chairs, and wheelchairs
- Carry out health and safety checks
Supervisions
All communication aids are in place and being used correctly.
Any debriefs are completed.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required.
**You will ideally have the following skills**:
Experience of supervising staff
Must have excellent attendance record
Must be flexible in your working pattern
Good time management
Able to solve concerns with staff and work in a proactive way.
Good verbal and written skills
Able to work within the management team
Understand the importance of confidently
**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
**Experience**:
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
Work Location: In person
