With a continuing focus on our regulatory compliance, it is increasingly important that we maintain high assurance standards across the Severn Trent Group. As one of our **Assurance Specialists** you will be a vital part of our Group Compliance and Assurance Team, responsible for supporting the Group Assurance Manager in delivering the regulatory assurance framework, driving best practice across the group, while managing third line assurance providers.

In this 12-month contract position you’ll develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders across the Group and develop knowledge of the business and regulatory environment to identify and mitigate assurance risks.

You will also be working with teams across the Group to ensure appropriate assurance is scoped and undertaken prior to regulatory submissions deadlines, ensuring necessary ‘buy-in’ from senior managers.

Being a great communicator, you’ll manage external third line assurance providers to ensure the assurance programme is effectively and efficiently delivered.

You’ll monitor and report upon the status of assurance actions being worked on by the business and assess the effectiveness of activities undertaken to address the risks identified. Proactively seeking improvements to processes and controls will be a key part of your role.
