**About us**:
UCL is a globally recognized institution and one of the UK’s most successful universities. It operates an estate which includes 230 buildings across central and outer London and undertakes business activities from teaching and research to innovations and enterprise. UCL has experienced significant growth over the past 10 years with over 10% increase in space and 58% increase in student numbers. Over the next 10 years, UCL plans continued growth with a new campus UCL East on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with several new and exciting areas of research.

A significant part of work on the estate will be improving its accessibility, thereby providing an environment which is accessible and inclusive to UCL and its wider community. In this regard, the estate presents many design challenges such as small spaces, narrow doorways, lack of accessible toilets and stepped access between levels, at entrances, exits and thresholds.

**About the role**:
In this job you’ll support the Head of Inclusive Environments to provide in-house expertise on all aspects of accessibility and inclusive design in the estates management and facilities services for UCL. You’ll work closely with partners and colleagues to create and maintain inclusive environments in and around UCL. It’s an exciting chance to play an essential role in our achieving three key objectives:

- Creating an inclusive campus, that is welcoming to all.
- Working inside and outside UCL to embed inclusive design principles across all UCL estate and operations.
- Ensuring that UCL influences the inclusive design agenda at local, regional, national and at an international level.

The job sits within the Sustainability Team and has clear synergies with the delivery of ‘healthy and productive environments’, one of the core principles in the UCL Sustainable Building Standard.

**About you**:
Being a member of the National Register of Access Consultants, or equivalent, is an advantage.

A full JD is attached to the job advert on our website.

**What we offer**:
As well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer great benefits, some of which are below:

- 41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days)
- Additional 5 days’ annual leave purchase scheme
- Defined benefit career average revalued earnings pension scheme (CARE)
- Cycle to work scheme and season ticket loan
- Immigration loan
- Relocation scheme for certain posts
- On-Site nursery
- On-site gym
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
- Employee assistance programme: Staff Support Service
- Discounted medical insurance

**Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion**:
As London’s Global University, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation, and we want our community to represent the diversity of the world’s talent. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where we all belong.

These include people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds; disabled people; LGBTQI+ people; and for our Grade 9 and 10 roles, women.
