**About the role**:

This fulfilling position allows you to directly enhance the skillsets of RNLI volunteers and staff to operate and maintain RNLI assets at our Poole Support Centre, lifeboat stations and other RNLI sites throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Based at our Poole Support Centre, you'll deliver inspiring training sessions, create educational materials, and ensure our teams stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the SAR (Search and Rescue) environment.

**About you**:
To succeed in this role, you will require the following skills and expertise:

- Experienced technical background, electronic/electrical knowledge an advantage, but not essential
- Thorough understanding of operating machinery, fault diagnosis and repair techniques
- Detailed knowledge of one of the following, high-speed diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electronic control systems, electrical systems, or electronic systems
- This post requires a valid driving licence.
- As this is a sea-going appointment, you will need to satisfy the Institution's medical and eyesight standards.

In addition to the above you will be passionate about making a difference to learners’ lives and have the enthusiasm to succeed. You’ll possess great interpersonal skills, as well as being organised and confident.
