Talent & Capability Partner (Divisional)

As a Talent & Capability Partner within RELX’s Talent & Capability Centre of Expertise (COE), you will be responsible for supporting the RELX Talent and Capability value proposition and plan within a specific RELX division. The T&C COE creates impactful opportunities to understand employees’ current strengths, to grow their skills and capabilities in alignment with business needs, enabling them to perform, develop and realise their career ambitions.

The T&C COE describes its value as Empowering Learning, Growing Leadership and Delivering Performance.

You will support the development and implementation of Learning, Leadership and Performance Effectiveness priorities including talent management processes as we build approaches and tools that support the growth and development of our employees and build a strong culture of learning, leadership and performance across the organization and specifically within a RELX division. Reporting to the T&C Lead for the specific RELX division, you will work closely with employees and business leaders within your division to enable the T&C priorities to attract, retain, and develop top talent within your division.

Talent & Capability Partners are client-facing roles that provide support to their specific RELX division but also focus half of their capacity to the development, design and subsequent delivery of key T&C COE Priorities. This involves working in partnership with key stakeholders within the COE, business, and broader HR to understand needs and opportunities to connect your skills and professional experience in a wide range of talent and capability initiatives. This role will also involve the need for positively impactful stakeholder management to promote T&C programmes and ensure that these are adopted in a consistent manner and impactful within the division.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the divisional deployment of programmes developed by the Centre of Expertise on Talent & Capability and ensure the promotion of a range of key strategic priorities across RELX, including:

- Building Manager Effectiveness across the RELX Employee Journey and supporting managers to be Confident, Objective, Respectful and Enabling.
- Strengthening Leadership Capability embedding a new RELX Leadership Framework aligned to the Job Architecture and RELX Leadership Excellence
- Enhancing performance management programs and processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans and RELX Talent Management approaches to the identification of employees with potential to grow and succeed into new roles
- Expanding the RELX Career Framework by supporting the reframing of RELX’s Career Framework methodology and approach
- Work alongside the Divisional T&C Lead and HR Teams to embed and actively support the positive landing of the above key T&C Priorities in a consistent manner that aligns COE and divisional objectives and supports the growth and development of employees at all levels within the division
- Partner with Divisional T&C Lead and divisional business leaders to identify key talent gaps based on business needs and inform the T&C content leads of these needs to ensure all COE solutions are relevant across RELX to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Work with managers and HRBPS in the division to assist in the development and management of succession planning processes for certain leadership levels that identify and develop high-potential employees for leadership roles and use these to inform divisional and RELX organisational talent reviews and promote enterprise-wide talent mobility
- Demonstrated experience working in a large and complex organisation with international aspects and multiple stakeholders would be advantageous
- Assist coaching and guidance to managers and employees on career development and internal mobility, performance improvement, and other talent-related issues
- Measure outcomes and evaluate effectiveness at a divisional level; communicate insight to the COE team to enable continual improvement and adaption to changing circumstances
- Ensure Financial rigour in all activities and compliance to RELX policies at all times.
