The role of an Administrative Officer in ORS is a varied role dealing with all aspects of bankruptcy and compulsory liquidation work for the Official Receiver. This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking for a career with the Insolvency Service.

**Job description**:
Our A2(AO) case officers work as part of busy administrative support teams, dealing with a range of bankruptcy & compulsory liquidation cases. They manage their own case load, working closely with the technical examiner staff in the office, to ensure that enquiries progress and information is updated to our databases in a timely & accurate way.

Our Public Service Operational Delivery apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and skills in the following areas:

- Working as part of an administration support team dealing with a range of administrative matters on bankruptcy and compulsory liquidation casework.
- Administering insolvency casework including management of own caseload and reviewing case files.
- Dealing with members of the public, private sector firms (e.g. solicitors) by telephone, letter and in person.
- Issuing reports to creditors and routine correspondence.
- Liaising with specialist staff on technical matters.
- Inputting and updating information on office databases.
- Maintaining accurate case records.
- Participating in wider function activities e.g., Team Meetings

Operational Delivery Officers have the vital job of keeping the country running. They make sure that citizens get the services and protection they need, and help people understand what is available and what they need to do to comply with the rules. Operational Delivery Officers make a difference every day to the lives of millions of people. They do hundreds of jobs in most departments and agencies in central government. They also work in local government, delivering services for towns, cities, boroughs or counties.

This apprenticeship will give you great development opportunities to equip you to be an internationally recognised professional in the part of the Civil Service that really makes things happen for customers and businesses.

A career in operational delivery is varied and involves working on the front line in different public-facing environments. You will be dealing with different types of customers and delivering a range of public services, but the skills and behaviours you need will be the same whatever you do
