**Job overview**:
We are seeking a full time Administrator to support Orthoptic and Ophthalmic staff based at the Oldham Integrated Care Centre.

Ideally you will have previously worked within an NHS setting and possess PAS or patient center skills. You will be responsible for the day to day administration and call handling within that department.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration for the Orthoptic and Ophthalmic services for staff based at Oldham Integrated Care Centre.

You will ensure all telephone calls are answered and messages taken to forward to the relevant staff member and ensure that the service can function efficiently.

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent level of experience
- Basic literacy and numeracy

**Desirable criteria**:

- CLAIT
- Knowledge of Child Health System
- ECDL or equivalent
- RSA 1 or equivalent

**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Previous administrative experience
- Previous reception experience

**Desirable criteria**:

- Previous NHS experience

**Skills/Knowledge**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Conscientious and able to meet deadlines

**Desirable criteria**:

- Working knowledge of the Trusts current information technology systems e.g. Patient Administration System (PAS), Patient Centre

**Personal Qualities**:

- Diplomatic and approachable
- Willingness to undertake the training required to carry out the job
