Established since 1899 our Worcester plant has undergone £30m investment and we are recruiting for permanent staff for Warehouse and food production roles and team leaders.
Our Warehouse (fork lift truck) and food production operatives start on £26,497.38 which rises to £29,762 with a 4 on 4 off 24-7 shift (Salaries bands increase after achieving levels of expertise in training).
Incentives include: £700 on completion of probation criteria, Easter hampers, £100 Christmas vouchers; Hours: - 4 on 4 off shift rotation 24-7. Weekly hours are 38-39 hours per week.

Day to Day Duties

This important warehouse and stores role is responsible for supplying product and raw materials from the warehouse to the production line.
The warehouse products must be stored correctly due to allergens and the correct labels must be produced to identify finished product.
You must have good attention to detail and a good understanding of English language both written and verbal for reading and printing product labels.
You will select the right ingredients to be supplied to the factory and ensure the production line staff are kept fully stocked with product. Once finished product is ready you will store correctly in the temperature controlled warehouse ready for dispatch and assist in dispatch in the palletisation area when product is ready for collection.

You will mop up spillages and generally assist to keep the warehouse and stores area clean and tidy.
You will use a Counterbalance and Reach FLT (fork lift truck) to move products around the warehouse

Essential Skills

Previous experience in warehouse or manufacture would be advantageous.
FLT licences either counterbalance or Reach would be advantageous.
Previous experience of working shifts is advantageous.
You must be physically fit to move stores and products around the factory.
Good and clear communication skills are needed, you must have good English language skills.
Reliability and flexibility are essential, as we rotate roles for variety to cover other job duties. A person who is prepared to be flexible is a good team player.

You must be able to work in chilled temperatures.

Desirable Experience

Clear communication skills
FLT counterbalance or Reach licences advantageous. Refresher training can be given.
Previous experience in manufacture or warehouse

What training is provided?

Full on-boarding process, from our 2 day training, you will join our training academy including FLT (fork lift truck) training, H&S, food safety and hygiene modules, training on Kaizan and lean manufacturing. You will be part of our People development programme to assist you attain success and salary increases and bonuses.
