**Working 36.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen supporting the Lord Mayor of Birmingham as an Attendant and Chauffeur. You will be driving Mayoral cars and conveying the Lord Mayor and other approved persons to and from their engagements. It is essential therefore that you have a full driving licence.

You will also provide an Attendant role to the Lord Mayor, including mace-bearing, announcing the Lord Mayor and acting as an MC at important civic events, observing all required protocols. Tours of the Civic Suite and Parlour for Mayoral guests are expected to be undertaken in this line of duty and support.

You will be required to hold responsibility for the security of the insignia and mace, and alert Lord Mayor’s secretary of any issues.The role requires a range of basic administrative and organisational duties, including the use of a computer. You should be self-motivated and capable of working independently to high standards. The role requires flexibility with regard to working hours and location, which may include early starts, late finishes and weekend/Bank Holiday working.
