London, United Kingdom Anna Freud Full time

Job description

Anna Freud is a world-leading mental health charity for children, young people and their families. Our mission is to close the gap in wellbeing and mental health by advancing, translating, delivering, and sharing the best science and practice with everyone who impacts the lives of children, young people and their families.

Anna Freud has been commissioned by the London Borough of Ealing to provide an early intervention and wellbeing mental health service to children and young people. The service is part of a new service structure within Ealing. There are two teams in the service, one is a specialist schools outreach team and the second is a community team.

Ealing Primary Centre is a specialist multi-disciplinary team made up of staff from education and mental health who work collaboratively to provide a service to primary school children who are experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, their families and schools. The aim of EPC is to prevent and reduce exclusions and promote inclusion in Ealing’s Local Authority primary schools.

We are currently recruiting for **two** Child and Family Specialists to join the Ealing Primary Centre (EPC) service. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the Anna Freud’s thriving Clinical Help offers in the Schools Division. The post-holders will offer a range of clinical activities to address mental health needs in children and young people, including assessment and direct individual and group work with young people and parents/carers. The post-holders will be supported through supervision. They will also deliver consultation, training, and workshops to non-mental health staff.

**Location**

The Ealing Primary Centre and occasional attendance at Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH. Please note that there are two positions available: the full-time position will be working across Ealing Primary Centre as well as being based in 2 schools in Ealing; the maternity cover will only be covering clinical work at Ealing Primary Centre.

**Contract duration**

Two positions available one is a maternity cover, and one is permanent.

Midday (12pm), Monday 11 September 2023.

**Notification of interview**

**Interviews**
