**Introduction**:
**This is a hybrid role with work required onsite 3-4 days per week. The rest of the work can be done from home.**

**Our client is a world-class engineering company, within the Government, Defence, National Security sectors.**

**They are looking for an experienced Subcontract Officer to manage subcontract supplier relationships, from relationship management to negotiation strategies through to managing subcontract documents**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Create, execute, and manage various subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc)
- Participate in development of supplier Statements of Work (SOW) and conduct bidders’
- Support cost and price analysis, develop negotiation strategies, and lead negotiations.
- Direct and manage all costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements.
- Responsible for early subcontractor identification and engagement to support new business pursuits.
- Continually assess and promote sustainable and responsible procurement.
- Leverage industry capabilities to align with technology roadmaps..
- Utilise project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers.
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the programme(s)/organisation and the supply chain.
- Functional representative at supplier and internal reviews including Gates, MRBs and EACs.
- Produce business cases/ briefing materials for management reviews.

**Skills & experience**:

- Experience in Supply Chain, Subcontract Management, Procurement, Commodity and/or related field.
- Experience in proposal and programme governance activities.
- Experience in or exposure to negotiating Low/medium complexity non-standard agreements.
- Experience of problem solving and dispute resolution.
- Experience or knowledge of MRP, SAP and purchase order placement/ material receipt processes.
- Administration of delivery/acceptance/invoicing of goods and services.
- Related degree//MCIPS/BA/MBA or equivalent.
- Experience of developing and managing Subcontractor Relationship Management and collaborative working.
- Knowledge of import/export legislation and logístical requirements.
- Experience of working with international suppliers/programmes.
- 6 Sigma process improvement skillset.
