Financial Controller

Investigo are exclusively partnering a rapidly expanding and entrepreneurial business to recruit a Financial Controller. The newly created and high-profile role will help grow and build the finance teams as well as the business.
The business is currently experiencing a significant period of growth and as such are scaling up the finance team to manage this. The Finance Director requires a Finance Manager who will be able to oversee the existing Finance Team. This role will be responsiblefor the day to day running of the finance function including production of the month end accounts, cashflow forecasting and managing the wider finance team.
- Production of the monthly management accounts.
- Management of the cost control procedures around areas of expenditure such as Subcontractors, Materials & Fuel etc.
- Management of the weekly Cashflow Forecast.
- Management of the existing Finance Team.
- Business partner to the Operational Contract Managers.
- Help develop a culture of ownership around numbers throughout the business.
- Developing Budgets and Forecasts for the contracts and the tracking of these to make sure targets are delivered.
- Production of monthly / weekly expenditure reports and presentation of these to the leadership team.
- Management of supply chain to make sure we receive best value for money.
- Support the Commercial Team in the management of contractual obligations including the proactive and timely management of variations, disputes etc. both with the client and supply chain.
- Assist in the role out of the new finance system.
Our client is looking for somebody who is happy challenging the status quo and is keen to understand the true drivers behind the monthly results. A history of working with operational teams is essential as is the ability to communicate well with all otherdepartments within the business to help provide the visibility of the numbers that the business requires.
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified
- Guildford based 4-5 days per week
