Criminal Paralegal

An experienced criminal paralegal is sought for my client's reputable and long standing criminal defence department in Nottingham city centre.

You'll have previous criminal experience gained within a reputable criminal defence department. You'll have dealt with a variety of criminal matters from minor offences through to more complex matters such as murder/manslaughter.
You will be expected to progress quickly working within a supportive friendly team and gain Police Station Accreditation with a view to advancing your legal career within a specialist criminal department.
**The role**:

- Dealing with a variety of cases within the Magistrates and Crown Court
- Undertaking fee earning tasks delegated by Senior solicitors and caseworkers
- Undertake Legal Research, drafting of all relevant documents
- Client interaction on daily basis either via telephone, video conferencing or in person.
- Representation of Clients at Police Stations - you'll be expected to commit to an out of hours rota
- Attendance at Court with Advocates/Counsel on Crown Court matters as and when necessary
