Workshop Operative

We’re looking for a new team member to join a busy and expanding workshop. Our client are based in Longford Derby.

The role This will be an ever evolving and varied role but will initially start out with the following:

- Cabinet assembly
- Wood finishing
- Packing and sending out our flat pack kits and parts
- CNC machine operation (training will be given)
- Cutting and manufacturing products
- Preparing/cleaning Campervans ready for handover
- Other general duties as required

About you:

- Hard working, motivated, with a can-do and willingness to learn attitude
- Confident with a cheerful nature, punctual and with an ability to meet strict deadlines and work under your own initiative
- Able to communicate with customers
- Open to bringing new ideas and methods/skills to the workplace with attitude to constantly improve their skills
- Competent in using basic workshop power tools such routers, chop saws, circular saws etc
- A well-organised self-starter with a positive outlook and a clear focus to achieve set targets and meet deadlines, without compromising quality
- High attention to detail and top-quality workmanship
- Full training will be given but the expectation is that you will be a quick learner, able to work at pace

A bonus for all applicants would be knowledge, skills and experience in:

- Joinery
- CNC machining
- Computer skills
