About the opportunity: We are looking for a Casual Family Lounge Host to join our Facilities - Kitchen department. Reporting into the Front of House Manager you will serve customers within the Family Lounge at Finch Farm; preparing, cooking and serving food and drinks.
Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in all service, preparation and storage areas throughout each working day.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Daily cleaning of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene requirements, including:
work services, all kitchen equipment, food service points, floors, shelving area, fridges, freezers and tables within the café area
- To provide an excellent level of customer service at all times to all staff and external visitors to the café
- To regularly check and monitor all kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and professionalism standards of food hygiene are maintained at all times
- Placing appropriate orders, as and when required
- Preparing end of cash takings, using the till as required.
Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for a confident, adaptable individual with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude to work and a passion for providing great food and excellent customer service.
Other key skills and knowledge will include:
- The ability to communicate to members of staff and wider public
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience of working in a busy kitchen or canteen environment
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
This position will be on a casual basis, based at our training ground, Finch Farm with flexibility to work weekends and evenings as and when needed is essential for this role.
