Here at Serco, we are recruiting for a Driver to join our team based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. Brize Norton is the largest RAF station with approximately 5,800 Service Personnel, 300 civilian staff and 1,200 contractors.

This role will undertake all driver duties to meet legislation and Serco’s contractual obligations. As our Driver, you will be the face of the Brize Norton Serco Transport team, representing the business in a positive way and interacting with customers and colleagues.

**Main responsibilities of the role include**: Ensure you comply with transport legislation in all respects. Carrying out vehicles daily pre-use walkaround checks and weekly pre-use inspections, reporting all defects to the duty team leader. Ensure all Company Policies and Directives relating to Road Transport and Dangerous Goods are fully complied with. Ensure the safety of passengers or the load through safe driving practices, including but not limited to: Wearing a seat belt and reminding passengers to wear seat belts. Correctly security, protecting and monitoring the load during carriage. Driving within speed limits and in accordance with traffic regulations. Driving defensively and courteously. Ensure prompt reporting of any damage to vehicles and the prompt reporting of any accidents or incidents.

**What you’ll need to do the role**: Full UK Driving Licence - Category B, C & E (Category D desirable) Proof of a colour perception test (from an opticians) to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit. Effective communication skills. Ability to achieve SC Clearance prior to appointment, Serco will arrange this on your behalf.
