Management Accountant

Manage day-to-day accounting operations incl. accounts receivables, accounts payable, general ledger,
- Preparation of monthly P&L, balance sheet & management reports for Directors,
- Manage overseas payments to suppliers / currency transactions incl. currency hedging & bank trade finance agreement,
- Management of cash flow and debt collection,
- Preparing VAT returns & HMRC reports,
- Utilisation and maintenance of QuickBooks financial accounting package,
- Managing external relationships with banks, company accountants etc,
- Ensure all transactions are recorded filed / reported properly, documenting processes to maintain internal controls,
- Liaising with external company accountant to produce year-end reports for submission to HMRC,
- Assist in producing budgets and reporting variances against costs,
- Developing & advising on financial strategy,
- Supervising and managing financial department staff: 1 direct report,
- Supply payroll information for permanent and temporary staff and handle any queries.
**The Right Person**
- Part OR Fully Qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience,
- Up to circa 5-years SME accounting experience in line with the duties listed above,
- Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision,
- Excellent planning, organisation and deadline time keeping skills,
- Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel & QuickBooks.
**Package**
- Appointment Type: Interim (ongoing support)
- KPI Bonus (circa 7%)
- Hours: Full OR Part-Time Hours Considered (flexible start/finish times)
- Holiday 20 Days + Bank Holidays
- Free On-Site Parking
