**Duties**:
The purpose of this position is to perform central cashier duties to include:

- Ensures that proper identification is presented before disbursement is made.
- Prepares and issues change from funds as required.
- Reimburses change funds and prepares and issues petty cash as required.
- Prepares in a timely manner daily facility bank deposits and monthly Slot deposits, ensuring deposits are balanced at all times.
- Reconciling cash reports within cash reconciliation system and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities.
- Ensures that credit card charges are accurate and back-up slips are attached.
- Process VAT payments from internal and external customers.
- Examines and verifies all paperwork meets VAT guidelines and criteria. Prepares disbursement paperwork and receipts for VAT check to be processed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- **Qualifying Experience**:

- Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and to make change when receiving payments from customers.
- Must have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.
- Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
- Must have experience in work which provided knowledge of double entry accounting procedures and techniques; knowledges of procedures used to enter, modify, retrieve and delete information in an automated reconciliation system.
- Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel/Word or other spreadsheet software program.

**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
