Marex Energy Futures Desk executes energy futures and options on ICE and CME for a wide spectrum of institutional players ranging from oil producers to hedge funds. Leveraging relationships and market coverage going back 25 years, the desk has developed particular emphasis on relative value execution.

This role exists to assist the Energy Futures brokers with all aspects of the trade entry process, ensuring timely and accurate trade entry in line with market regulations. Point of contact for clients, broker and internal departments to resolve any queries relating to the trades. Market coverage will require working from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring all top day trades are allocated, cleared & accepted in a timely & efficient manner.
- Working closely with front office brokers, assisting with all queries & requirements
- Deal Entry into in-house systems
- Deal Entry into external exchange systems
- Configuration & monitoring of counterparty commission rates
- Providing Back Office Administration support as required
- To ensure written procedures are in place and up to date at all times.
- Report & escalate issues to your line manager.
- Assisting the Brokerage Department with Queries.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the FCA.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
- Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
- At all times complying with the FCA's Code of Conduct
- To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
- To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
- To escalate risk events immediately
- To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Problem solving skills.
- MS Office skills
- A meticulous eye for detail
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
- Experience, either from a brokerage or trading house would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
