Overview:
We are seeking a keen and motivated individual to join our team as a General Sawmill Personnel within our family run sawmill. As a General Sawmill Personnel, you will be responsible for various tasks relating to the day to day running of the sawmill. This could include operating various saws, stacking timber, loading & unloading deliveries, making products. Full training will be given. This is a full-time position that requires physical strength and the ability to work individually or as part of a team in friendly modern environment. This position could be on an employed or self employed basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assemble and disassemble sawmill equipment as needed
- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and fabricate wood products
- Perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery
- Assist with loading and unloading materials within the sawmill
- Have a keen eye for numeracy, accuracy and quality control
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a sawmill or similar environment would be great but not essential as full training will be given.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Some mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery would be advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues in a busy environment
- A Forklift Certificate would be an advantage but not essential
- Due to the remote location a driving license and access to a vehicle would be essential as not on any bus routes.
- You must be able to provide documentation to prove your eligibility to work in the UK.
