We are seeking a part-time Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Lead to join our team.Hours; 22 per week

**What we are looking for from you**:
(but don't worry, if you feel you have the experience and knowledge to carry out the role, but may not have covered all the points in the job description come and have a conversation with us)
- To have the ability to work as the specialist lead in the delivery of a professional and responsive service, on the full range of Widening participation and Apprenticeships initiatives.
- To develop apprenticeship opportunities from (Levels 2-7) both in clinical and non clinical workforce groups, as well as early careers progression within the organisation, including T Levels.
- Have the confidence and ability to build positive relationships and communicate with multiple stake holders effectively.
- Have experience and knowledge of The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) policies and working with Education Providers.

- To positively lead, influence and be responsible for the Trust and System Wide Apprenticeship and Widening Participation workstream plan in collaboration with leaders across the organisation.
- To be responsible for maximising the Apprenticeship Levy fund in line with workforce development priorities and ensure payments and transactions are accurate
- To provide advanced specialist advice, support and guidance for all staff with regards to Apprenticeships and Widening participation programmes.
- To be responsible and accountable for ensuring the team produce standard and complex reports for the People and Culture committee, Directors, Management, CQC and others as required, liaising to clarify requirements and continuously improving the information provided

- Provide day to day line management of the Apprenticeship and Widening Participation team manage, coach and mentor members of the team; providing expert supervision where required
- Work with the team to support widening participation activity such as Supported Internships, Scholarship programmes, work experience programmes as well as much more
- Present and facilitate complex topics during training delivery to all levels including managers
- Use influencing skills to encourage collaborative working of all levels of staff
- Present tenders for projects to support the strategic education aims
- To lead and be responsible for the apprenticeship procurement process on behalf of the organisation and in collaboration with the Dorset System Apprenticeship Development Lead, to ensure prioritisation of identified key organisational areas.
- To be responsible for forecasting and forward planning with the implementation of Apprenticeship Standards across the organisation linked to workforce planning needs.
- To provide expert workforce planning advice to managers to support identification of roles within services where the use of apprenticeships would support skill-mix re-design and workforce development of existing staff, new recruits, or for emerging roles.
- Be responsible for leading the planning and implementation of a process to prioritise the use of apprenticeship levy, informed by workforce planning and learning needs analysis intelligence
- Responsible for the development of degree level apprenticeships, as they become available, to support the organisation’s recruitment and retention plan.
- Act as a key influencer in changing apprenticeship and widening participation culture across the organisation through, strategic thinking, use of negotiating skills, self-awareness, and effective communication to build supportive relationships with managers
