Purpose

As an Virtual Employment Consultant you will focus on supporting those participants who have moved into work. This role will involve holding scheduled meetings over the phone to support those recently in work offering support, rapid response guidance and encouraging self sufficiency in their new role. You will have a caseload of participants and be expected to track and forecast them through their upcoming milestones in employment through to Outcome on Restart. A working knowledge of excel as well as an ability to manipulate data are essential to success in this role.

Whilst working in a supportive team environment, this is a role with autonomy where you will be trusted to make decisions and manage your time to deliver your role and meet your objectives. You will meet with a wide range of people, with a wide range of support needs. You will be solution focused and carry out proactive meetings, engaging with local employers and sign posting to other local services to help people access the right support where necessary. This role is a target driven role to ensure your caseload of participants fulfill their potential in a sustainable role. This will include engaging with a variety of industries to generate and actively promote the skills and abilities of our participants that will support them into sustained employment.

You will be experienced in engaging with external stakeholders, providing support, advice, guidance or coaching to positively influence other people’s professional or personal development. You will be an effective communicator, able to build rapport with people and have a flexible and resilient approach.

Minimum of GCSEs grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent

Information, Advice and Guidance qualification or equivalent

Experience of providing one-to-one support, guidance or coaching and positively influencing other people’s professional or personal development

Good level of IT literacy with experience in using Microsoft office software

**Location**:
The role holder will be based at home with opportunity to work from our Grosvenor House office in Birmingham City Centre or to attend quarterly meetings face to face.
