**Finance and Administration Officer**
- The Canon Peter Hall C of E School is part of the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT). LAAT is a multi-academy trust formed by the Diocese of Lincoln. You will be required to work 32.5 hours per week, with flexibility over the week to meet the needs of the school. In return we can offer you:

**Job Description - Finance and Admin Officer**

**Grade: LAAT G5**

**Responsible to: BOP**

**Core Purpose**
- To provide a full range of finance and administrative support to the School.**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Ensuring that all financial systems and processes operating within the School are in accordance with the LAAT Finance Policy- Processing purchase orders and invoices in line with the LAAT Finance Policy and in a timely and accurate manner- Maintaining the creditors ledger and working with the central finance team to resolve any issues- Raising sales invoices in accordance with the Finance Policy and ensuring that these are posted to the sales ledger in a timely and accurate manner- Ensuring that payments due to the School are collected, posted to the accounting system and banked promptly- Reviewing the sales ledger and working with the central Finance Team to resolve any issues- Monitoring the use of the procurement card and ensuring that transactions are posted to the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner- Ensuring that all other ad hoc transactions are posted to the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner- Line Management responsibilities for admin/clerical staff or catering staff as directed.- Maintaining staff personnel files and ensure compliance with pre-employment checks- Updating the staff personnel database- Obtaining quotes for routine maintenance work within the school premises in line with the purchasing procedures set out within the LAAT Finance Policy- Travelling to attend training courses as required- Arranging for general maintenance within specialist areas such as heating, lighting and plumbing to ensure safe and effective operation- Maintaining the School SCR**Other**

**Essential Desirable**
O Level/GCSEs (English & Mathematics at grade C or above)
Experience of working in a finance role in the education sector
Experience of using PS Financials software

**Professional knowledge and understanding**
Understanding of key financial controls
To be able to effectively use IT, particularly accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Understands requirements of handling confidential and sensitive information

**Safeguarding Children**
Current Safeguarding Training
Enhanced DBS Clearance
Awareness of the importance
