**Head of Finance - Property & Partnerships**

Circa £130,000 plus excellent benefits including up to 10% employer pension contribution, private healthcare for you and your family, and a company car or £8,000 car allowance (Work Level 3)

We’re looking for a Head of Finance to act as a key strategic partner to our Property & Partnerships team, while also helping to lead and set the strategic direction for the wider Co-op Finance team.

Property & Partnerships are the commercial engine room of our Co-op. With over 4,000 properties in our portfolio (Food, Funeralcare and non-trading), we see an opportunity to leverage this estate more effectively and to drive significant benefit through our business.

In this role you’ll work closely with our Group Property & Franchise Director to build your understanding of our business, and quickly identify the key value levers to start to unlock some of those big opportunities.

To be successful, you’ll need to be a true critical friend to our Property & Partnerships team - building positive relationships across the board, and helping to define the strategic roadmap for this important area of our business.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead financial and strategy planning and performance management activities, providing business partnering support to Property & Partnerships leaders
- Develop an end-to-end view of the Property & Partnerships function and use forecasting and financial analysis to connect the dots, challenge assumptions and spot opportunities
- Support strategy formulation for Property & Partnerships, quickly drawing conclusions and appropriate actions from insight
- Drive innovation, supporting evolution and improvement of finance processes and systems, using technology to improve insight and performance
- Influence key decisions, acting as a strategic business partner and sounding board to the Property & Partnerships leadership team
- Provide advice on key business planning assumptions, headwinds and opportunities, working with leaders to find solutions and accelerate benefit realisation

**This role would suit people with**
- Significant experience in a senior group property or multi-site finance role, managing a team and setting a strategic vision
- Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to identify and unlock value within a big, diverse estate
- Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to challenge comfortably and effectively at executive level
