Floor Layer

**Duties**:

- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and removing any existing flooring or debris
- Install various types of flooring materials, Altro (or similar) flooring with cap and cove.
- Use tools and equipment, such as power stretchers, knee kickers, and adhesive applicators, to properly install flooring
- Ensure flooring is properly aligned and secured
- Trim excess material and finish edges for a professional appearance
- Inspect completed work for quality and make any necessary repairs or adjustments, Take photos of works from start to finish.
- **Sub contractors welcome to applied rate to be discussed.**

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to accurately measure and cut flooring materials
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to floor installation
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure proper alignment and finish of flooring
- Physical stamina to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods of time
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during installation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.30-£18.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bristol, Bristol: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Tile Setting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
