We are seeking highly committed and competent Apprentices for our DS Smith Business Services Finance Apprenticeship Programme in Caerphilly, South Wales to start in February 2023. If you’re considering a career in Finance, the DS Smith Business Services Finance Apprenticeship Programme offers an opportunity that cannot be missed. The programme covers all areas of Transactional Finance, and some Accounting. The programme provides exposure to a wide variety of areas such as; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections and an introduction to Finance & Accounting Management processes.

Our Transactional Finance and Accounting functions help DS Smith meet its financial management responsibilities across 60 sites throughout the UK, whilst ensuring we provide the maximum level of customer service to internal and external customers at all times.

The DS Smith Finance Apprenticeship Programme is a two-year development programme focused around transactional finance feeding through to accounting processes, rotating through a number of placements through DS Smith Business Services.

Day to day, your placements will provide you with the opportunity to learn about aspects of Transactional Finance and Accounting.

Your hands-on experience will be underpinned by external study towards achieving the Association of Accounting Technician (AAT Level 2 and 3) qualification. DSS is committed to supporting you through your fully funded study whilst you are on our Apprenticeship Scheme. Should you secure a permanent position within DS Smith, we shall continue to fund the AAT qualification. Training will be delivered by a locally based AAT training provider.

- Minimum requirements:_
- 5 GCSE’s, including English & Maths, at Grades A*- C / 4-9
- Interested in a finance career
