Attachments Material Planner

**Overview of the role**:
We are currently looking to recruit a Materials Planner to work within our fast-paced Attachments operations function. You will take responsibility for the management of multiple suppliers to ensure the delivery of components in line with production requirements. Management of supplier performance and relationship to ensure JCB Attachments are given the appropriate priority and customer service. Working as part of a highly motivated and supportive team to deliver parts on time.

Reporting to the Senior Materials Planner you will be part of a highly motivated and supportive team tasked with ensuring we maintain a stable supply chain.

**Your Responsibilities as a Material Planner**:

- Day to Day management of supplier schedules within a portfolio of suppliers
- Ensuring continuity of materials supply
- Daily liaison with suppliers
- Reviewing schedule exceptions
- Inventory control and management
- Analysing stock discrepancies to determine root causes and liaising with other departments e.g engineering, production.
- Pro-active review and continuous improvement of suppliers / logistics / transportation / packaging
- KPI Management
- Analysing material shortages and root causes
- Communicating with third party logistics partner to deliver continuity within supply chain
- Introduction of new parts management
- Supplier Improvement/Resourcing projects'

**About you**:
Ideally, you'll have demonstratable experience within a similar production control environment, possess strong Excel and data management skills and have a sound knowledge of SAP.

You'll be able to demonstrate an awareness of the wider business and can foresee obstacles before they arise and have the ability to think laterally to resolve problems.

- Be capable of working at all levels within the JCB organisation.
- At least 2 years hands on experience in a similar role
- SAP ERP knowledge / experience preferred.
