**Purpose of the Role**
I am representing a client based in Croydon, who are looking for someone to investigate reports of nuisance, domestic abuse harassment or anti-social behaviour made by tenants, residents, leaseholders, or members of the public. You will be expected to providesupport and guidance to housing management on low level ASB issues.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Support the Head of Community Safety in leading on the development and effective implementation of policies and procedures relating to the effective management of ASB.
- Investigate reports of nuisance, domestic abuse, harassment, or anti-social behaviour made by or about residents or others and identify the appropriate action to be taken.
- Manage complex cases and liaise with local partners, e.g., Police, Local Authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Where necessary, identify and pursue legal action (e.g., injunctions, possession proceedings, Anti-Social Behaviour Orders) to prevent further nuisance from occurring including service of Notice of Intention to Seek Possession, briefing solicitors, preparingWitness statements, Particulars of Claim, attending court and acting as witness where appropriate.
- Use non-legal ASB remedies such as formal and informal written warning, Acceptable Behaviour Contracts, Good Neighbour Agreements, and restorative justice where appropriate as well as management transfers and starter tenancy reviews.
- Maintain up-to-date and accessible records in all areas to include using computer systems and data bases as well as existing systems providing information and reports upon request. Ensure GDPR compliance in line with external partner protocols and internalpolicies and procedures.
- Provide support to witnesses throughout the period of any legal proceedings including providing regular information regarding progress, arranging interpreters or transport where appropriate, explaining the court process and discussing the significance ofany judicial decision.
- Provide information and advice to tenants and residents about the role of the ASB Team, the help that is available from other agencies, their own responsibilities, and legal remedies.
- Attend Multi-agency partnership meetings, including but not limited to Community Safety Partnership meetings, team around the child meetings, child protection conferences, domestic abuse MARAC's and case conferences.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years' experience of managing ASB cases in a housing setting.
- A full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- A good knowledge of the relevant legislation and of tenancy enforcement.
- BTEC Level 3 - Advanced Award in Community Safety, Crime and Nuisance Management for Practitioners.
- Sound knowledge of best practice in relation to the management of nuisance and harassment.
- Understanding of the responsibility of other agencies (e.g., Police, Local Authority)
- Experience of preparing/presenting anti-social behaviour cases for legal action.
- Experience of dealing with cases of nuisance and harassment in a housing management environment including preparation of and progressing legal action.
- Good understanding of equality and diversity.
