As a Barclays Functional Designer, you will be gathering requirements and producing functional design for the Faster Payments service team whilst translating Business requirements to Functional/ Interface requirements by maintaining requirements/ analysis traceability from design deliverables to business requirements. The Payments Transaction Cycle provides Payment services to all Business units (Corporate, Retail, Personal, Business Banking, Wealth, Barclaycard, Trade). **What will you be doing?**:

- Producing impact assessments for proposed internal and regulatory changes
- Coordinating meetings and discussions with stakeholders and team members
- Conducting walk-throughs of recommended system functionality and prototypes with stakeholders
- Providing support to the Functional Design lead, and all other change roles as required
- Working closely with the Application Developers to ensure all functional requirements are met
- Working closely with the Test Teams to help them define test scenarios and review them
- Assisting in undertaking impact analysis on major design options, together with the assessment and management of associated risks
- Ensuring that the design balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience of detailed design through (Functional Requirements Definition)
- Excellent Payments knowledge from a business, operational and technology perspective
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end payment life cycles and workflows

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Degree educated with experience of working in a similar type of role
- Knowledge of industry standard payment messages, e.g. ISO20022 (PACS, CAMT, PAIN), ISO8583
- Ability to analyse data using SQL tools
- Experience in Agile methodologies and artefacts, such as user stories and Kanban boards

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
