Recycling Officer

Recroot are seeking a Recycling Officer to join our client based with Hackney Council

Starting 7th August, working Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm in an ongoing contract.

The purpose of this role is to assist the Recycling Officer in the administration, organisation, promotion, consultation, installation, operation and monitoring of kerbside, estate and bring site recycling schemes within Hackney.

To provide support to the Recycling Officer to increase recycling and waste minimisation activities within the Borough.

To liaise with different groups associated with multi-occupancy dwellings and bring sites (including the commuter and park recycling bins) within the Borough and actively promote the expansion of the number of communal recycling facilities and promote their use.

To assist the Recycling Officer to manage kerbside recycling schemes (eg. dry recyclables’ collection), estates based recycling schemes and reuse projects, as needed, as well as support to manage public recycling-on-the-go and public bring sites.

You will be happy to conduct at least 50% of your time to conducting site visits around the borough that can be visited by foot (preferred), cycling or public transport.
