**Assistant Highways Maintenance Operative**

**Working Pattern: 37 hrs per week - Monday to Friday**

**Location: Nottinghamshire**

Via currently has a fantastic opportunity to join our Highways Team as an Assistant Highways Maintenance Operative based at our Bilsthorpe, Gamston and Blyth Depot.

**About the role**:
As an Assistant Highways Maintenance Operative, you will assist the Highways Maintenance Operative repair highway defects using electronic devices ensuring you are complying with current policies, strategies, and legislation. You will assist the Highways Maintenance Operatives with enquires made by other departments, senior members, stakeholders, clients, and customers, recording, and completing works as required.

You will comply with Health, Safety and Welfare management and comply with relevant legislation whilst representing the company and promoting our positive image
- Preferable but not essential experience in a Highway or Construction related field with relevant knowledge.
- Good communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Basic IT skills with the ability to use a variety of IT packages including databases, word, excel and outlook.
- Current driving licence category B
