Horticulturalist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Horticulturist to join the team at Ashton Hall Garden Centre based in rural Lancashire just outside of Lancaster.

As a member of the garden centre team, you will be responsible for: delivering expert plant advice, providing excellent customer service, stock maintenance, creating exciting displays, plant purchasing and merchandising.

This is an opportunity for those who are passionate about horticulture as you will not only be able to pass on your knowledge to customers, but learn new, valuable skills. The ideal person for the role will be enthusiastic, a good communicator and friendly. You will also be hard-working, flexible and enjoy working in a busy environment.

Previous experience within the horticultural/garden centre industry is desirable as knowledge of plants is key.

Experience of driving a forklift is desired, however, training will be provided.

A clean driving license is essential as you will be required to assist with deliveries.
