Dog Groomer

**Location**:The positions can available across all 3 of our salons but specific location can be discussed in interview. We have two salons based in the Lichfield area and one salon in Burntwood. Some staff enjoy working across 2 or 3 salons whereas some staff are based at just one salon. Again this can be discussed in the interview.

Part time and/or full time positions are considered.

Starting salary is competitive and will be in line with experience.

Grooming stylist experience **is required **for the position.

Some weekend work is essential. This may not be every weekend but will include 2 Saturday and Sundays per month (every other) **OR** 3 out of 4 Saturdays + one Sunday per month as a minimum.

Flexibility may be required between our 3 stores to cover sickness, holidays and busy periods to suit the business needs.

**About Role**:

- You will be able to demonstrate expertise and knowledge in all aspects of grooming - bathing/ shampooing and drying, checking and cleaning paws, pads, eyes, ears, nails, tear stain removal, de-matting, clipping and scissor finish, de-shedding, hand-stripping and brushing.
- You will be offering our customers the best service possible throughout the salon**.**:

- You will lead from the front with a hands-on approach, overseeing the running of the salon in the absence and presence of the salon owner.
- You will drive business within the salon and you will deliver the very highest standard of pet grooming.
- You will ensure that all our clients and owners enjoy a positive, memorable and outstanding spa experience, always exceeding customers’ expectations.
- You will be also working in our retail store and carrying out retail roles when required for the business.
- You will have experience of effectively managing a salon diary to maximise the number of appointments.
- You will always ensure the house keeping, cleaning and maintenance of equipment is always to a high standard.
- Hours to be discussed on interview. We can be flexible around the total hours of the position for the right person - part time and full time to be considered.

**About You**:

- Grooming experience necessary.
- Confident in handling all breeds of dogs in a safe manner.
- You will be a people person, have a real passion for pets as well as being a great team player.
- Will have a positive and can do approach.
- You will be part of a successful salon and proactive in your approach.
- You will have excellent communication skills which will be fully utilised as you will be dealing with customers and their pets on a daily basis.
- Having the highest of expectations in presentation and cleanliness in the salon.
- You can show flexibility.
- You will have a great, enthusiastic personality for retail.
