**Job Purpose**
Answering Calls
Care Navigate calls in an appropriate way
To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
Scanning document onto patient records, coding as required.
Implement the correct procedure when the telephone system breaks down.
Process appointment requests from patients by telephone and in person
Deal with home visit documentation ready for the visiting clinician
Registrations of new patients
Process patients change of address
Ensure working area is clean and tidy
Ensure building security and report any problems most appropriate person
**Prescription Processing**
Encourage patients to take responsibility for their repeat prescriptions ordering and increasing take up of EPS
Produce prescriptions for the clinicians to sign or process electronically in an acceptable timeframe
Ensure all prescription requests are processed and are ready for collection within a 48-hour timeframe
Generate requests for medication on behalf of the patient for non-repeat items
Actively encourage patients to reconcile medications to facilitate monthly collections
Discuss with patients their requirements, encouraging patients to order only what they require
Input data into the patient’s healthcare records as necessary
Deal with all prescription related enquiries in a timely manner
Tasks

Process all DOCMAN tasks
Stationery and Equipment
Ensure there is an adequate supply of stationery in the clinical rooms and reception area.
IT
Reporting any faults and assisting other staff members if there are issues in the Practice.
To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner.
To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
Post & Correspondence
To ensure that all incoming and internal patient correspondence is stored on/in the patients’ medical record and relevant information is coded.
Filing
File prescriptions appropriately
Information Governance
Comply with Information Governance legislation
EMIS Appointment System
Call list of patients when required and book appointments appropriately
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
