**About the role**
The role of NPD Technologist is an incredibly varied one It’s a role that covers organoleptic, analytical, microbiological, and meteorological control whilst giving you extensive knowledge and exposure of a production environment.
As NPD Technologist, you’ll generate recipes and integrate ingredient and recipe information from the development area into the Kingsland systems. You’ll generate and oversee the provision of documentation associated with product development and ensure that all ingredients are approved according to the correct method. You’ll be working closely with the QA and Production departments to ensure the smooth transition of liquid projects from Product Development to Production, and make up samples for commercial, marketing and customers. You’ll also support the NPD Manager in cost saving / optimisation projects, work closely with the Purchasing team in the procurement of ingredients and flavourings and manage trials as required.
**And the key ingredients**
We’re looking for someone who has significant experience working in New Product Development within the drinks industry.
The role has lots of scope for working unsupervised and under own initiative but means you’ll need to be armed with excellent communication and training skills, due to the large element of liaison with other departments, suppliers and customers. This role not only requires alertness and attention to detail of procedures and statutory instruments, but it also needs a high degree of teamwork and partnership skills.
If you possess the Wines and Spirits Educational Trust Certificate then that would be an added bonus, but it’s certainly not essential.
