Blabla Cafe is launching a new location which will be opening in June 2024 in the new Clarendon Works building. We are looking for a brand new team to work back of house in the kitchen from Monday - Saturday, 7:30am - 8:00pm and Sunday 10:00am - 16:00pm. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time employees.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be preparing a range of quality breakfast and lunch options including fresh salads, sandwiches, and hot food. You will be in charge of ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately. Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients. Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking food items.
You will be working alongside our team and require you to have an adaptable skillset and prepare menu items reflective of our standards at all times.
**We will need you to have**:
- Excellent communication skills
- 6 months minimum experience in the culinary industry
- Positive with a can-do attitude
- Work well in a team environment
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- A minimum of food hygiene level 3 certificate is required, but full training will be provided.
**Your duties will include but not limited to**:
- Maintain the high standard of cleanliness in the back of house
- Daily food preparation, cooking and preparing food in high quality standards
- Organising daily deliveries
- Stock Management
- Completing the daily closing duties
- Cleaning all dishes and equipment for front and back of house
