Butchers Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Butchery Assistant to join our team. As a Butchery Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced butchers to ensure the efficient operation of our meat processing and preparation activities. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall success of our butchery department.

**Duties**:

- Assist butchers in cutting, trimming, and preparing various cuts of meat
- Package and label meat products for display and sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of meat products
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meat preparation for restaurant service
- Receive and inspect meat deliveries for quality and freshness
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and rotating products as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Familiarity with restaurant or food production operations
- Basic culinary skills, including knife handling and meat cutting techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From £11.50 per hour
