**The role**
- Senior bookkeeper managing own portfolio of approximately 30-40 clients
- Day to day bookkeeping using Xero, Dext, and Sage 50
- Monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Answering client queries in a timely manner
- Ensuring trial balances are complete and fully reconciled ready for accounts prep
- Training clients on the use of Xero and troubleshooting client data
- Running payrolls and dealing with pensions auto enrolment
- Bookkeeping and credit control for our own practice
- Ad hoc accounts tasks
- Practice management and administration
**You**
- Have at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice
- Enjoy working with different client businesses and personalities
- Have the ability to plan and prioritise your work and a keen eye for detail
- Are a self starter, equally comfortable working by yourself or as part of a team
- Have flawless written and verbal communications skills
- Are a great bookkeeper and know Xero inside out
- Have an expert working knowledge of VAT
- Prior experience of credit control, payroll, pensions auto enrolment, and the construction industry scheme would be an advantage but not essential
