The OD and People Change team provides the expertise and support across the council that’s needed to ensure we have the right people, in the right jobs, with the right skills and attitudes.

Our Organisational Development Delivery team sit within the OD & People Change team and are looking to appoint a trainer on a full time, fixed term contract until 31 March 2024, to deliver a range of training programmes.

**About the role**

The trainer role is a front-line facing role focussing on the delivery of internal and external training courses based on the demands and needs of the business and customer groups.

You will be delivering remote and face to face training in the Digital skills training specialism area primarily, with the option of delivering training in Mental health, professional development and leadership training areas.

Within this post you will also be responsible for providing training for the delivery of fee-paying courses marketed to external audiences and will include planning sessions, preparing materials, researching the topic areas, and adapting the training programmes to meet specific client/learner requirements.

**About you**

You will be educated to NVQ level 4 or equivalent and will have a teaching or training qualification.

You must be able to demonstrate a variety of teaching and assessment methods.

Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to engage learners at all levels and ability to liaise with customers around new business development opportunities are essential.
