Accounts Assistant

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly organised individual to join the Finance team at our Aberdeen office reporting to the Regional Financial Controller
The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a similar role working as part of a busy finance team will have excellent attention to detail.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Daily posting and allocation of customer cash receipts and vendor payments.
- Processing vendor invoices into Xero accounting package.
- Weekly reconciliation of the bank statement to the nominal ledger.
- Preparing weekly vendor payment runs.
- Dealing with customer queries, invoice queries and requests for copy invoices in an effective and timely manner
- Supporting the Regional Financial Controller with month end reporting
- Managing the Company debt ledger to credit terms including weekly reporting to the Senior Management Team
- Obtaining WHT deduction certificates from customers.
- New customer account set up including credit checks.
- Preparing non-trade recharge invoices
**Requirements of Role**
- Previous AP/AR experience essential
- Experience of Xero preferred
- Good excel skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Self starter with excellent attention to detail
