1. Colorectal & general surgery wards rounds
2. Colorectal & general surgery theatre lists
3. Outpatient clinics and endoscopy
4. Being trained and supported in the development of operative skills
5. Participation in Clinical Governance, including effective clinical audit, continuing medical education and mandatory training.
6. Contributing to departmental audit and research with consultant supervision. Opportunities are available to undertake personal research and enhance the CV
7. Participation in teaching programmes for medical staff, medical students (University of Leicester and University of Oxford) and other hospital employees, as required.

8. Participation in General Surgery Full Shift Rota 1:12 covering General Surgery when on call
