**Role Purpose**

Lead and manage a small team of planners and project controls specialists who provide direct support to Fleet project teams, in order to support project managers, deliver projects within the required safety standards, time, cost and quality targets.

Provide an advanced level of project scheduling support, direction and coaching to projects teams to ensure maintenance period schedules are developed and maintained within Babcock Group’s Project Management & Planning policies and standards are met via quality schedules that satisfy the requirements of the business and the needs of the customer.

Provision of long-term programme resource forecast analysis to support the companies Integrated Base Planning (IBP) process and conducting short term resource forecast reviews, with project managers, across live projects to highlight resource capacity / scheduling conflicts for resolution and areas of opportunity.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of probabilistic schedule risk & cost risk analysis (SRA) to inform the project/programme bid process, along with analysis of the cost and schedule impacts of risk mitigation.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead and manage a small group of support specialist within the PMO, providing direct support to projects in order to assist Project Managers deliver projects within safety standards, time, cost and quality targets
- Lead, influence and provide guidance to project teams on the development and maintenance of project schedules that meet the requirements of the business and that support Babcock Group’s Project Delivery Framework (PDF)
- Provide probabilistic schedule risk analysis & cost risk analysis (SRA) to inform the project/programme bid process
- Provision of long
- and short-term programme level resource forecasts that feed the Integrated Base Plan.
- Develop and maintain Project Planning templates that are optimised for the corporate structure (Project Specific Teams) and are harmonised with the engineering task steps and work instructions.
- Develop Project planners’ skill sets through coaching and ensure that schedules meet Babcock Group’s Project Management & Planning policies and standards
- Conduct resource assignment analysis across live Fleet projects to identify resource conflicts, over allocations and opportunities. Seek corrective action by agreeing task rescheduling and or task estimate and duration validation
- As the prime point of contact for scheduling / planning issues, develop and maintain working relationships across project organisation

**What do I need to do the role?**
- Competent and experienced in complex Project Management procedures and processes

Programme Management techniques
- Primavera 19.2 and PRA/ Safran
- Risk Management techniques
- Governance, policy and procedures
- Communicate at all levels, building constructive and effective relationships to achieve results. Overcoming objections and resistance to change is a key part of this role
- Leadership

**Qualifications**
- HND in Project Management or Equivalent
- APM Practitioner
- Primavera 106P Advanced Project Management
- Primavera 106R Resource Management
- ILM Level 3 or Equivalent
